Not every endeavor requires an extensive methodology but we have one in our tool-box. And it works.

Borrowing from best practices and proven scientific methodologies our specialized process helps uncover hidden needs and enforces validation of processes, ideas and reports.

Comprehend

- What are the strategic goals?

- What is expected?

- What is desired?

At this stage we deliver a discovery document to communicate our understanding of your needs.  The document contains storyboards, use cases and proposed high-level features. If you already have a specifications document we can work with it.

Ascertain

- What tactical options are available?

- What resources and technology are available?

- What data is needed? Where is it found?

All the parties involved understand the high-level solution and in this phase we start to design the solution using flow-charts, wire-frames and some software design documents.  Essentially we are defining the blue-print of your solution. 

At this stage we also identify the formulae, reports and analytic's needs so that we fully understand the how and who for when downstream questions pop-up.

Realize

- Assemble the pieces to produce a usable, communicative asset.

- High Utility? What can be improved?

Iterative versions of the solution are delivered, usually on a weekly schedule.  For each iteration pre-selected domain experts review the solution and make recommendations for the next iteration or accept the features. 

At this point we contemplate usability researcher to verify that the solution can be easily learned, used and understood.
